Gladwell, Malcolm (2001)`s The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference

The tipping point: how little things can make a big difference is one of Malcom Gladwell´s famous book. The title of this book is very attractive. The author trying to explains the importunacy of handling little things and how it will make successfully. This book is describing social and business activities in past years. The author used some kind adoption curve chats and it is denoting social and business (marketing) trends. The author explains in this book about adoption of curves and how it will make the tipping point. the mentioning some fundamental concepts, the little changes making big effect and this changes is not going smoothly but in dramatic moment and tipping point as a contagiousness process. The author mentioned somany important idea in this book. The world of tipping point is considered as a place of expected from unexpected because radical change has more possibility in here.
The author explains the major component’s of the tipping point in this book. He divided it in to three types. They are the Law of the Few, the Stickiness Factor and the Power of context. These are the core values of the tipping points. Each agent has some good power in tipping. Then he shows how connectors will influence in specific trends. The connectors are known as highly influential agent through in community. Gladwell describes about stickiness factor and stickiness factor is commonly known as a one part of communication.
The author Explains how sticky message affected media environment and how it will make as a irresistible. Epidemics have important role in society and when it will occur and it would be very sensitive part in every times. It also knows as power of context. The author didn’t try to make significant factors which have power change for tipping points and it is one of the main disadvantages of this book. This book is drawing city crimes New York city in the 1990`s and how occurred. The small changes in environment is affecting deeply in human behaviour. In early days connectors had good role in process of adoption. The information path from innovators to adopter is critical. The book is giving many ideas about tipping point and how it will affect markets trends. This book is very much helpful for marketing studies.
